Job Description:"Job Description Abbott House is seeking a committed assistant manager to join the Services for People with Developmental Disabilities (SPDD) team. In this role you will be support the Residence Manager in supervising and coordinating operations of the Day Hab in Rockland County About Abbott House Abbott House is an innovative community-based organization that helps children, families, adults and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities with complex needs build lasting foundations for a promising future. We operate programs in the New York Metropolitan area and Hudson Valley. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the day to day operations of assigned Day Habilitation program Responsible for compliance to applicable regulations as outlined by OPWDD, Medicaid and Agency for Day Habilitation Supervise Day Habilitation Direct Support Professionals. Evaluates probationary and annual staff performance. Recommend advancement, disciplinary and/or termination to Community Support Coordinator. Ensure employees have regulatory and pertinent trainings and certifications. Ensure all program participants are provided with meaningful services in accordance to individualized, person centered program plans. Ensure the health, safety and well-being of individuals served is maintained at highest possible level. Ensure adherence to OPWDD 624 regulations. Ensure Direct Support Professionals document service delivery in accordance to CMS guidelines Reviews and approve pay roll for assigned staff. Enter all payroll information accurately in payroll data base meeting established deadlines. Conduct regular staff meetings, ensure Direct Support Professionals are trained and informed of all pertinent information which promotes quality programming, positive relationships and individual’s care . Develop and monitor staff schedules. Ensures adequate coverage is maintained while adhering to allotted budgetary guidelines. Approve time off requests, and forward requests to Coordinator. Manages program’s finances, responsible for program petty cash spending, maintenance and replenishment submissions. Maintain and review incident reports and take appropriate action according to department policy and OPWDD regulations. Establish and sustain positive working relationships and coordination with each consumer’s Residential Treatment Team, family and/or advocate. Establish and sustain positive working relationships with the providers of Residential Habilitation Services in order to coordinate Individual choices and goal objectives. Attend & participate in program planning, ISP meetings Develop and update Day Habilitation Plans in accordance with identified individuals’ Valued Outcomes, adhering to OPWDD and CMS regulations. Prepare and review reports for accuracy, i.e., facility report, vehicle logs, fire drills, incident reporting, etc Design Weekly schedules Monitor the assessment of each Individual’s level of participation in the Day Habilitation Program. Assess Individual Satisfaction on at least an annual basis. Ensure that Fire Drills are conducted on a quarterly basis. Qualification:"About You You are the ideal candidate if you have a passion empowering underserved communities. Being compassionate, organized, flexible and responsive are critical attributes to be successful in this role. You have at least a High School degree. A bachelor’s is highly preferred. You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in OPWDD settings with at least 1 in residential services You have a valid driver’s license You have good written and oral communication skills You have a flexible schedule"
