Job Description: | "Abbott House is seeking an Employee Benefits Administrator to join the Human Resources team. In this role you will be responsible to oversee the administration of all employee benefits. About Us We are an innovative community-based organization that helps children, families, adults and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities with complex needs build lasting foundations for a promising future. We operate programs in the New York Metropolitan area and Hudson Valley. Key Responsibilities Administer Workers’ Compensation insurance including processing claims for on-the-job injuries and interfacing with carrier, broker and health care providers. Process disability claims for all illnesses that are non-job related. Handle unemployment claims Process all enrollments for new employees into medical, dental, vision, medical FSA and Commuter plans. Coordinate Pension Requests Administer all leaves including FMLA, PFL and personal leaves complying with required laws and regulations. Complete benefit related surveys and internal reports. Participate in new hire orientation. Qualification: | "About You You are the ideal candidate if you are an organized, detail oriented, flexible and responsive HR professional. You have at least a Bachelor’s degree You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in employee benefit administration roles You have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills You are a problem solver with proven ability to design and implement systems You are technology savvy with excellent command of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) You are a strong team player and highly energetic" |
