Job Description:Data and Operations Associate is responsible for data processes/management/analysis and administrative support to provide objective assessments of CCRR programs and services; in support of Child Care Resources of Rockland, Inc. (CCRR) strategic plans and goals; achieving continuous quality improvement for child care providers; and to effectively identify and plan to address existing and emerging needs. Incumbent will assist in the development of operational plans to meet identified needs, ensuring these plans include the development, implementation, and evaluation of service delivery outcomes. Incumbent will work collaboratively with CCRR staff, board, child care providers, parents, and other stakeholder groups.
Primary Responsibilities:1. Collect and manage quantitative and qualitative data: maintain and update various databases/ data collection/data management (surveys, CACFP; PreK; Training & TA, etc.), and for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of data. 2. Analyze, organize, interpret, and communicate data to identify emerging trends that could be relevant for current and potential new initiatives and key partner/funder relationships; identify processes used; suggest new and alternative approaches. 3. Run and analyze reports as requested. Compile data and assist in consolidating and analyzing data for presentation. Identify significant data opportunities by using internal and external sources to drive value/insights. Work with agency staff to obtain statistical metrics for measuring program activities and outcomes. 4. Assess current methods of quantitative and qualitative evaluation of early childhood education programs, regulatory and support services, parent and family engagement, professional development, marketing/communications, fundraising, internal operations, etc. 5. Identify and recommend improvements to agency data collection methods. Provide creative yet logical approaches to solving data problems, increase automation, and implement database cleaning strategies and processes; train users to assist in maintaining high quality data entry standards.
Position Scope:1. Organization responsibilities (Supervision given/received/freedom to act): Under supervision of Director of Family, Community and Operations Services. Work may be reviewed after completion; some latitude for independent action as pertains to aspects of work and utilization of computer capabilities. No supervision responsibility. Adhere to all CCRR Policies and Procedures. Design and complete a plan for carrying out each assigned project. This should include timeline and outline of the specific tasks and personnel needed. 2. Internal Contacts (Type/frequency): All agency personnel on a daily/frequent basis to provide required/requested services and to collaborate/participate in creative aspects of assigned duties and responsibilities. 3. External contacts (Type/frequency): Telephone contact with incoming callers, workshop attendees and any outgoing calls or faxes that need to be made. In-person contact as receptionist with walk-in clients/visitors.
Necessary SkillsThe successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and must be a highly motivated self-starter with strong analytical and organizational skills. Demonstrated experience thinking strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans. Must demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and sound judgement in execution of work assignments, and flexibility to work in an environment with widely varying workload levels.
Minimum Requirements:Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems, Applied Mathematics, or related plus one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of Office applications with advanced experience in Excel is required. Familiarity with SQL, Power Automate and/or Power Apps, and results-based accounting software a plus. • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills required. • Must have valid driver's license and your own car. • Must be able to work weekends and evenings. • Bilingual, particularly Spanish and/or Creole a plus. • Knowledge of the child care industry is a plus.
*Candidates will be required to work on-site. CCRR office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
