| Job description: | Inventory Assistant This position includes the following but is not limited to: *Assist with the management of inventory by stocking and cataloging products *Assist in updating inventory counts and help maintain inventory records *Help verify materials received with quantities and specifications against purchase orders *Help inspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damages *Help ensure that all assets are properly maintained and looked after *Help monitor incoming and outgoing Fleet Vehicle Inventory materials *Research products and materials requested and needed by the company workforce *Provide support for managers, and team members with various miscellaneous tasks such as running errands, and delivering materials to worksites *Support office maintenance efforts, and basic office cleanliness. |
| Qualifications: | To be eligible for the Internship program, you must qualify as at least one of the following: *An individual currently attending or who attended a degree program at a college or university, located in New York State within the last 12 months as of the date of the intern application. *A New York State resident attending or who attended a college or university outside of New York State within the last 12 months as of the date of the intern application. New York State residency must be established prior to the start of the internship. *Currently attending a trade school (BOCES, Lincoln Tech, etc) *A New York State resident who is at least 16 years of age and is a member of a disadvantaged community and/or priority population. |
| Skills: | *Strong organizational skills and the ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple tasks with multiple deadlines. *Good computer skills, and excellent verbal communication *Ability to work independently or in a team environment. *You must be reliable, energetic, and friendly! |
