Job Summary:The Program Quality Assurance team (PQA) provides programmatic support directly to the DD Division’s operations staff in order to assist with policy development, identifying issues, and supporting solutions. PQA has four main areas of focus: Annual peer audits at each program location Provision of technical assistance to support programs in areas of need Development of division wide policy and procedures Strategic management and planning.
Responsibilities:Provides technical support to all program and clinical staff within the DD Division in order to: create a collaborative and learning environment promote professional development and growth in staff establish a high standard of quality services for people we support Fosters the philosophy of Person- Directed Services across all programs. Provides ongoing training/support for all staff on how to incorporate Personal Outcome Measures, Person- Directed Planning, and self-determination so that each person is afforded the opportunity to express his/her goals and is an active participant in the action plan to achieve these objectives Conducts sites visits, peer audits, on-site observations, technical assistance and follow up to annual OPWDD audits Utilizes data and online reporting to review trends in all areas of service delivery with the goal of sustainable, continuous quality improvement throughout the DD Division Utilize reports and data from myEvolv and Qlik Reporting in order to assure compliance with Medicaid and OPWDD regulations including but not limited to: Daily service documentation Life plan development and review Staff Action Plan development and review Monthly summary compliance All other documentation and compliance standards Creates and maintains systems, policies, and protocols that represent best practices and that are standardized throughout the division. Work with program staff to evaluate quality of services and develop action plans for improvement when necessary. Support program staff through implementation of action plans and ensure that work is completed and agreed upon quality standards are achieved. Understand, implement and support OPWDD’s Core Competencies and ensure that each DSP and residence Manager adheres to the agency’s Code of Ethics and Core Competencies Remain current in all required training Identify and implement opportunities for program innovation and expansion Ensure that all people we support live in a safe, clean and caring home environment Participate on committees and assigned projects and perform other related duties as requested. Provide mentorship to residence managers, DSP’s and other team members in a positive way, provide continuous and effective feedback Uses supports effectively (human resources Finance, IT etc.) Works with supervisors, clinicians and residence manager to establish each program’s performance indicators as they relate to community integration and person directed planning. Achieve a positive work environment Maintain communication with PQA team regarding all program quality assessments and alert program and PQA leadership when red flags occur. Assure appropriate documentation of program quality effort to allow for peer and supervisory input and to meet all reporting and communication needs of funding and referral sources. Monitor outcomes related to identifying performance trends, best practices, and opportunities for improvement. Other duties as assigned.
Experience:2 years: • At least two years of experience in Program Quality or related field. · Knowledge continuous quality improvement process. · Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills. · Strong written and verbal communication skills.
