Job Description:POSITION SUMMARY: This is a confidential, management position reporting to the Controller. This is a professional accounting position dealing with work of a complex nature including general accounting, HUD contracts and reporting functions. This position is responsible for ensuring proper accounting and internal control over the Affiliate financial operations, to assist in producing accurate and timely financial reports and to maintain accounting records that conform to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Skills:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Responsible for the oversight and/or maintenance of financial records for Affiliate Companies including Arc Health Resources, New Vistas of Rockland, Homes’ Companies (5) in accordance with GAAP and/or State and Federal agencies. • Responsible for the oversight and/or recording of accounting entries necessary to facilitate an accurate and timely month-end and year-end financial closing of books for Arc Health Resources Inc., New Vistas of Rockland Inc., Homes Companies (5) in accordance with GAAP and/or State and Federal agencies. • Responsible for preparation of Article 16 CFR and Article 28 AHCF cost report. • Responsible for and/or oversight of the preparation of reports to government agencies for Affiliate Companies. Including HUD REAC reports, HUD Contracts and Budgets, HUD Replacement Reserve and correspondence for HUD audit inquiries. Other government agencies may include IRS, NYS DOH, OPWDD. • Responsible for and/or oversight of the completion of the annual budget for Arc Health Resources, Homes Companies (5). • Prepares monthly rate reconciliation as related to Arc Health Resources. • Responsible for and/or oversight of the completion of the annual audit workpapers, audit inquiries relating to the Affiliate Companies. Responsible for Forms 990 for the Affiliate Companies. • Works as an integral part of management, assists in establishing, coordinating, and administering an adequate plan of internal control over financial operations. Simplifies and streamlines accounting processes. • Maintains a positive working relationship with internal and external stakeholders • Keeps abreast of changes in field and is expected to maintain a thorough and complete knowledge of regulatory, financial and tax reporting requirements.
