Job Description: | Stewards/Dishwashers are responsible for the overall cleanliness & organization of all Back of House(BOH) areas at The Tuxedo Club. As a key member of the culinary team, the Steward/Dishwasher is responsible for washing dishes, china ware, flatware, cutlery, crockery, kitchen vessels, sweeping & mopping floors, cleaning & detailing equipment etc. The Stewards/Dishwashers maintain the cleanliness in the kitchen areas, dish washing & other designated spaces, ensuring all Health & Safety Standards are met. Stewards/Dishwashers are required to handle multiple daily responsibilities, display an ability and willingness to learn and take direction, and work in a team environment. The ideal candidate is friendly, motivated, and devoted to becoming an integral member of a team that values hard work & attention to detail. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of care & hospitality. Duties & Responsibilities: -Display cooperation, sense of urgency, house pride, & an unwavering care for our guests & food safety through high integrity performance of ware washing & facility maintenance duties -Work with the kitchen team to keep all cookware & storage containers in good shape & returned to storage areas properly -Learn & retain standard operating procedures for all sanitation duties while consistently following a timeline & cleaning project schedule -Ensure proper cleaning, sanitizing & storing of dishes, flatware, equipment & small wares -Wash, wipe, sort, stack dishes & load/unload dishwashers and operate pot-washing machinery -Remove & broken or chipped items from circulation -Effectively participates in a professionally run service period, to ensure excellence in cooking, timing, plate assembly & communication -Sanitation of station & kitchen to be held to depart of Health & Tuxedo Clubs Standards -Has a positive work ethic & professional approach with coworkers & customers -Ensure DOL/Health Department compliance as it pertains to the operation -Is punctual for shifts, well groomed & has proper uniform |
Necessary Qualifications: | -Team player that is energetic and professional -Must be able to stand for long periods of time -Must be able to work varied shifts which include weekdays, weekends, evenings & holidays |
Necessary Skills: | -Previous kitchen experience a plus |
