Senior Sales Manager

Department: Sales

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer, this position is responsible for the planning and implementation of sales and product development.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee all phases of sales for CFD on an on-going basis
Develop and implement strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services; set performance goals accordingly.
Develop and manage sales budgets in a timely manner; develop and project short/long range budgets, monitor and work within established budgets, produce regular budget reports and provide accurate sales forecasting for budget planning.
Respond to all lead inquiries, generated through current lead generation sources; identify and implement new lead sources.
Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, etc., to capture key demographics.
Meet with customers/buyers to discuss their needs and assess the quality of CFD’s relationship with them; implement any necessary changes.
Make sales contacts, research customer needs and develop application of products and services, effectively.
Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales, in an effective manner.
Participate in the development of new products, modification of existing products and termination of ineffective products by evaluating products and service marketability, gather and analyze customer feedback, identify future customer needs and determine customer satisfaction with products and services.
Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long term market share.
Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials and events.
Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
Represent the company at trade shows, trade association meetings, etc., to promote products.
Meet with clients, maintain relationships, negotiate and close deals.
Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volumes, potential sales and other areas of proposed client base expansion.
Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
Supervise staff; manage and direct work flow.
Interact with other departments and key personnel to ensure that all sales goals and objectives are realized.
Perform other job-related duties for Caribbean Food Delights and/or any of the related companies, as assigned and as unilaterally determined by Caribbean Food Delights, Inc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION WITH OR WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

Frequent walking, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; frequent verbal communication; prolonged standing at times. Ability to travel up to 35% to 40% of the time. Ability to operate standard office equipment – computer (navigating internet/keyboarding), fax machine, photocopier, calculator, multi-line telephone system, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Bachelors’ Degree in Sales, Business or equivalent

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Minimum ten (10) years related work experience

Minimum seven (7) years as a Sales Manager

Proven track record of positive sales performance

Strong leadership skills

Ability to operate standard office equipment – computer, fax machine, photocopier,

calculator, multi-line telephone system, etc.

(Experience in the food industry, preferably in the Specialty Frozen Food segment, meeting with buyers or category managers in national/regional food service accounts, retail sales and with an emphasis on club stores, leading and managing sales team as well as external broker network; identifying, selecting and attending industry trade shows).
